The UPBC Sakhi Yojana was announced by the government of UP for the welfare of women. The scheme was implemented to provide various employment opportunities to the women of UP. According to this scheme, women are provided with a salary of Rs 4000 per month along with Rs 50000 as financial assistance. Under this scheme, the government makes a good donation for rural women and offers them various opportunities to work so that they can get employment. The women would be doing banking services and money transactions through digital means, through which rural people would also use such facilities, and as a result, women would be employed. 

Rs 50000 is given to every Sakhi so that they can buy a digital device for efficient working. The government has decided to provide the Sakhi with a certain amount of commission on every transaction that is done through digital or online modes. Prepare BC Sakhi, it costs a total of Rs 74 thousand to the government, as they have to provide incentives to the rural women so that they won’t leave this work. In the first phase of this scheme, 640-gram panchayats are deployed, and rural women are also provided with training to enhance their abilities.

Purpose of UPBC Sakhi Yojana

The main objective of the UPBC Sakhi Yojana was to create job opportunities in rural areas, provide them with banking services, and empower rural women so that they could lead a better life. The UPBC Sakhi Yojana was started by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, to allow the women of UP to enjoy the benefits of various employment opportunities. For this scheme, the government has decided to deploy banking correspondent Sakhi in rural areas so that women need not travel to the bank as Sakhi; money will be delivered to their homes. The main work of the UPBC Sakhi Yojana was basically to provide loans to people, recover loans, provide Jan Dhan services, provide services to members of self-help groups, and get deposits and withdrawals from the bank account door-to-door.

Under this scheme, employment opportunities are provided to around 58,000 rural women, and they will be provided a salary per month by the government. The foremost responsibility of the women covered under this scheme was to make people aware of banking, for which they were required to go door-to-door to explain the services and their benefits. Apart from this, they were also required to complete all the banking work online while sitting at their respective homes.

How to apply for the UP BC Sakhi Yojana

UP BC Sakhi Yojana has been announced on its official website, and in order to get yourself registered for this scheme, you need to download the app of UP BC Sakhi yojana, fill out all the required personal details, and upload all the necessary documents like your residence proof, Aadhar card, pan card, etc. To be eligible for this scheme, you need to be a rural woman and a permanent resident of UP; your age must be between 18 and 50 years; you should have qualified for the 10th standard; you should be able to understand banking services and manage money transactions; you must have knowledge about operating an electronic device; and you must easily understand the workings of banking.

  • First of all download BC Sakhi Mobile Application in your phone.
  • Now enter your mobile number in this application.
  • Verify the received OTP.
  • After this click on Basic Profile. Upload all the information and documents asked.
  • After that some questions will be asked, enter them and save them.
  • Once the application is accepted, the applicant will be informed about it on her mobile phone.
